SSL for subdomain doesn’t work

Problem:

SSL for subdomain doesn’t work when the main domain is hosted elsewhere

Solution:

  1. WHM > Manage SSL Hosts > here you need to delete the SSL certificate if it is expired
  2. Restart the firewall
    • Search for HG Firewall Administrator (under my version of WHM)
    • Click on restart in the upper right hand corner
  3. To install SSL : WHM > Manage AutoSSL > provider should be lets encrypt
  4. Go to manage users : select the username > click enable auto SSL if it is disabled
  5. Click on check ” username” then you can see the installed SSL on the logs in couple of minutes
