Problem:
Windows 10 was reporting my OneDrive client as being the most current but when I checked the version of groove.exe, it was very out of date. Since this was an Office 365 installation, I couldn’t uninstall OneDrive for Business. So I needed a way to manually uninstall it.
Solution:

To completely uninstall OneDrive:
- Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode: Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and select Command Prompt (Admin).
- Type in
taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe
to terminate any OneDrive processes and hit Enter. - Then type in either
%SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
if you’re using 64-bit Windows 10 and hit Enter.
No confirmation dialog appears at all as it’s a silent uninstall. To reinstall it with the same version, go to the same path and run OneDrive.
