Problem:
Setting up an external email warning.
Solution:
Google makes this process a lot more complicated than Office 365
- Go into Gsuite console
- Go to Apps > G Suite > Settings for Gmail > Content Compliance
- Email messages to affect
- Inbound
- Add expressions that describe the content
- if ANY of the following match the message
- Click Add > Advanced content match
- Location: Subject
- Not Contains Text: [EXT]
- Click Add > Advanced content match
- Location: Full headers
- Contains text:
- First field: Ext
- Second field: External
- If the above expressions match, do the following
- Modify message
- Select: Add custom headers
- Click Add
- First field: EXT
- Second field: External
- Prepend custom subject
- [EXT]
- Scroll to the bottom and click on show options
- Under Account types to affect, make sure Users and Groups are selected
- Save
