Outlook Won’t Load

Problem:

Office 365 hangs on loading Outlook. If you delete and create a new profile, it comes back with errors and doesn’t complete. If you use  Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant, it gives you autodiscover issues.

Solution:

This problem is annoying since it’s not obvious. The solution is to go into the registry and create the following key:

  1. Open registry
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\outlook
  3. Create a DWORD Value called DisableAntiSpam with a value of 1

In my case, I didn’t have any keys past Microsoft (so Office etc was missing) so I had to create them.
