You get the following error in Windows: Windows created a temporary<\/em> paging file<\/em>. etc. etc.<\/p>\n

When you check your O\/S drive, you’re running out of space. When you check what’s eating your space, typically it’s c:\\windows\\winsxs…<\/p>\n

The Winsxs folder contains references to updates. DO NOT delete the contents.<\/p>\n

Rather this is what you do:<\/p>\n

1. \u00a0\u00a0 At an elevated command prompt, run the following command:<\/p>\n

Net Stop WUAUSERV
\nDelete the contents of the %windir%\\softwaredistribution\\downloads folder.
\nAt an elevated command prompt, run the following command:
\nNet Start WUAUSERV<\/p>\n

2. Still in the elevated command prompt:<\/p>\n

dism \/online \/cleanup-image \/spsuperseded<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Load up Disk Cleanup<\/li>\n
  2. Click on System Files<\/li>\n
