<strong>Directory<\/strong> <strong>Users<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>Groups<\/strong> from the drop down<br \/>\n<a <strong>New<\/strong> and <strong>Group<a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image013.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"432\" <strong>Group Policy Management<\/strong> from the drop down<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image021.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" <strong>Create a GPO in this domain, and Link it here\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image023.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-290\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image023.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" name for the GPO, i.e. \u201cWSUS Critical Server\u201d, click <strong>OK<\/strong> to close<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-291\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image025.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image025-300x140.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the GPO, in the <strong>Scope<\/strong> tab, under <strong>Security<\/strong> <strong>Filter<\/strong>, click <strong>Add<\/strong> to add the group previously made in the AD<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image027.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-292\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image027.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image027.jpg 392w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image027-203x300.jpg 203w\" href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image029.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-293\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image029.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"326\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image029.jpg 326w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image029-300x283.jpg 300w\" Configuration\\Policies\\Administrative Templates\\Windows Components\\Windows Update<\/strong>, find <strong>Enable client-side targeting <\/strong>and double click on it<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image030.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-294\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image030.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image030.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image030-300x213.jpg 300w\" \u201cCritical Servers\u201d, and click <strong>OK <\/strong>to close<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image031.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image031.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"623\" height=\"573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image031.jpg 623w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image031-300x276.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 623px) 100vw, 623px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then double click on <strong>Specify intranet Microsoft update service location<\/strong>, <strong>Enable<\/strong> the policy, and under <strong>Options<\/strong> enter the address for the WSUS server and port, i.e. \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/*servername*:8530\">http:\/\/*servername*:8530<\/a>\u201d for bother inputs and click <strong>OK <\/strong>to close<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image032.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-295\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image032.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image032.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image032-300x275.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lastly double click on the <strong>Configure Automatic Updates<\/strong> policy, <strong>Enable<\/strong> it and under <strong>Options<\/strong> set the updating to option 4; 7 for install day; and midnight for install time, this will limit network traffic, interference, and restart downtime to a minimum, click <strong>OK <\/strong>to close<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image033.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-296\" src=\"http:\/\/www.torontohelpdesk.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/image033.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"573\"
