This article will be updated when more information on this patch is available.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"CORP_WORKAROUNDS\">\n<div class=\"attr CORP_WORKAROUND\">\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Workaround<\/h3>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<ol>\n<li>From the Task Manager, select <b>command line<\/b> from the\u00a0View menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Columns<\/b>. (This will help you to determine the msiexec.exe processes that need to be stopped.)<\/li>\n<li>Start the silent install.<\/li>\n<li>Check <b>Mcafee_Common_Install_xxxxxxxx.log <\/b>for details about the install process.\n<p>Example:<\/p>\n<p>=========================================================================<br \/>\nAction start 16:32:06: TerminateMFEConsoleForBuildToBuildUpgrade.<br \/>\n16:32:6:105 &#8211; McAfee CustomAction : Begin CleanupProcessandHandle<br \/>\n16:32:6:105 &#8211; Begin Terminate MFEConsole<br \/>\n16:32:6:105 &#8211; Begin TerminateMFEConsole<br \/>\n16:32:6:121 &#8211; &gt;&gt; Terminating MFEConsole: TaskKill.exe \/F \/IM MFEConsole.exe<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; Terminate MFEConsole returns 128.This could well indicate that MFEConsole was not even open.<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; End TerminateMFEConsole<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; Begin Close Logcfg Handle<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; Attempting to release logcfg handle held by Windows Explorer<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; LoadLibrary of PSAPI.dll succeeded<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; GetProcAddress of EnumProcesses succeeded<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; GetProcAddress of GetModuleFileNameEx succeeded<br \/>\n16:32:6:199 &#8211; Module Path of explorer.exe is C:\\Windows\\Explorer.EXE. Its Pid is 2956<br \/>\nMSI (c) (18:F8) [15:06:38:965]: Decrementing counter to disable shutdown. If counter &gt;= 0, shutdown will be denied.
